OUR MISSION

A SHIRT THAT TELLS A STORY...

On January 3rd, 2021, Wash the City was created to bridge the gap between those in need and those who want to give. We produce sustainable, ethical, and impactful clothing to promote community development. By wearing our products, you support and walk with the lives we serve.

SHIRTS HAVE BEEN DONATED SO FAR

Wash the City believes in hands-on community outreach. Every week, we offer free shopping to those in need, providing clean, sorted clothing handled by "second chance" employees. We hire individuals regardless of work experience, felonies, or lack of housing/transportation. If others won't hire you, we believe working with us can change your life.

SUCCESS STORIES

THE JOHNSTER

The gentleman in the picture is John, an absolute legend. We met him on our first day serving in Phoenix. After years of building a relationship, John got off the streets and found a job. A year later, he reappeared, needing work. We grabbed coffee and hired him. John has been a blessing to Wash the City, capable of running shops, screen printing, and more. He also consistently arrives 30 minutes early to work.

THE MAN RAY

Ray was our first real friend on the streets, capturing our hearts with his love, kindness, and singing from day one. He was also the first person we helped get off the streets, with the support of many organizations. Ray has now been off the streets for three years! We’ve done everything we can to make him comfortable and confident. Ray has starred in many of our product photoshoots and even headlined our first fashion show.

VICTOR THE HOMIE

Victor is one of the most special people we've been blessed to serve. We met him on the streets during an interview that lasted about two hours. After our lengthy discussion, we knew we had to help Victor get off the streets. A week later, with prayer and persistence, Victor and Asheley found an apartment. You can see Victor's full story on our homepage – we encourage you to watch!
